ABOUT GIRLS IN MOTORSPORT NZ

Girls in Motorsport (GIMS) is a supportive community. A network of women who come together to bond over motorsport and vehicles in general.

Girls in Motorsport (GIMS) was established in 2017 by two women, Petrea (club president) and Sarah (vise president) who wanted to create a safe space for women nationwide. After being met with criticism for getting involved in the car scene, GIMS has an important role to play and live by the motto do what you love, don't worry about what other people think.

​

Recently club leadership was handed over to Naz (club president) and Aroha (vise president) who hope to keep the club alive and continue to build on our legacy.

​

We have over 1.4k online members and are actively trying to get more women involved nationwide.

You do not have to have a 'cool car', just a passion for cars and motorsport to join.
